May 15, 2020 Judge Sims: – Today I’m sorry to report both a rise in cases and fatalities. Our cumulative total case count climbed by 6 to 207 cases. Additionally, we’ve had 3 more fatalities bringing our total to 14. Please remember these families in your prayers, not just today but for the next several days.

This virus is not going away so we must learn how to live with it. Please make every effort to protect yourself and those around you.

May 16, 2020 – Good news / Terrible news – We have no new positive cases to report today but we do have one new fatality. Our current totals are: 207 cases, 15 fatalities, 30 recoveries leaving 162 active cases.

Let’s get our numbers to go down by adding to our recoveries and stopping the spread. In your prayer time, please remember these affected families as well as the medical staff and nursing home staff who are on the front lines of this.

TWO CHARTS WITH DATA BY EDMUND WOOD. THE FIRST SHOWS THE CASE RATE  WHERE HARRISON COUNTY IS WELL REPRESENTED. THE SECOND CHART SHOWS THE DEATH RATE WHICH IS VERY HIGH FOR HARRISON COUNTY AT PRESENT, LARGELY DUE, I WOULD GUESS, TO NURSING HOME DEATHS. THE DEATH RATE WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY GO DOWN. I HOPE THE CASE RATE DOES AS WELL. Thank you, Edmund Wood for the information.
