Judge Sims: Harrison County Judge
May 6, 2020 – There are 7 new cases to report for Harrison County which now totals 164. The good news is we have 3 recoveries which now total 18. Removing the recoveries and 8 fatalities leaves us with 138 active cases.
One of the nicest things you can do for others is to wear your mask. You and I could be asymptomatic carriers and have no idea we are spreading this virus. Wearing your mask protects others. Let’s do our part.
Harrison County Disaster Declaration 5-6-2020
This is the new update and conforms to Texas law. I still recommend extreme caution with mask use and distance — or better yet, stay home if you can, especially if you’re old and beat up. Testing and Tracking will be along soon and will clarify our local situation. Harrison County has more illness than most Texas counties from a percent standpoint.
