NYT OPINION PIECE WITH WHICH I AGREE:
From The New York Times:

THESE CORONAVIRUS EXPOSURES MIGHT BE THE MOST DANGEROUS
As with any other poison, viruses are usually deadlier in larger amounts.

Avoid exposure, and especially avoid high dose exposure. Be prepared.

A GROCERY SHOPPING ARTICLE:
How to Grocery Shop Without Stress Spiraling
https://elemental.medium.com/how-to-grocery-shop-without-stress-spiraling-e3c9ce8df2af

I don’t believe this article is sufficiently cautious, especially for older or impaired people. If I just had to shop, I’d wear disposable gloves and some type of mask. A bandana is better than nothing — it keeps your hands off of your face and mouth and is easy to wash. Keep your distance from people. My wife and I try to leave anything new that comes to the house in the garage or car for a day or two before we bring it in and wash it. (We also leave the mail out a day or so to let potential viruses die, then open it with gloves on.) Are we overly cautious? Yes, but why not be cautious? A pulmonary death in a crowded ICU is a miserable (and somewhat selfish) way to die. Before long, there might not be much room for really old folks in area (or any) ICUs.

If older people have someone to do the shopping or have a delivery service, so much the better. Takeout food can be unpacked outside the house while wearing gloves, and then warmed up. If takeout food is not hot or you can’t heat it up, you, don’t buy it. If you can avoid takeout food, do so.

Remember, that at least a third of C-19 is spread by carriers who are without symptoms. Some people who have had a mild undiagnosed case, can and still shed the virus.   You should consider anyone you are around to be a carrier of the C-19 virus and keep a distance from them. This is my medical opinion, and I hope that I/m being overly cautious, but I think things are going to get rough in East Texas before they get better.
